Last week our CEO, Mike, traveled to Moscow for a 5-day trip to attend and speak at the Open Innovation Forum 2017 in the Skolkovo Technopark in Moscow. While there, Mike signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Idea Foundry and the Skolkovo Foundation with their Vice President for Regional and International Development, Saprykin Yury Aleksandrovitch.

For the next few weeks, Idea Foundry will be hosting two of ten entrepreneurs visiting Pittsburgh from the U.S. State Department’s YLAI (Young Leaders of the Americas Institute) Fellowship program. YLAI brings entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean to the United States to learn about the business landscape and practices in the U.S. and to develop connections with business professionals in the region.

Last Thursday, Idea Foundry exhibited at Thrival Festival’s Innovation Marque with some of our portfolio companies, Solinius, Kopo, and FIT Farms. The theme of the event was “Humans X Tech” and the evening was filled with engaging dialogue about the role new innovations can play in our lives and the lives of others.

Idea Foundry, a Pittsburgh-based economic development organization, is one of 27 organizations in the nation to be selected to receive the prestigious i6 Challenge grant through the Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) Regional Innovation Strategies (RIS) Program.
