Inclusive Innovation Summit Event: Navigating Regional Pathways for Immigrant and Minority Small Businesses

October 5, 2021

March 29th from 2:45 - 4:15pm, join the Idea Foundry team during the City of Pittsburgh's Inclusive Innovation Summit, as we discuss a variety of resources available to Pittsburgh's immigrant and minority small business owners.

Inclusive Innovation Summit

Event Time: 2:45pm - 4:15pm

Location: Point Park University

While many resources exist for immigrant and minority small business owners and entrepreneurs in our region, it can be difficult for someone entering this space for the first time to learn about them and then navigate the different pathways available. In this event, the Idea Foundry team will introduce some of the organizations and resources in Pittsburgh’s small business and entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as some different types of small business loans.

We will also welcome minority entrepreneurs who have participated in our Equitable Entrepreneurship program to share a bit about their journey pursuing their business goals. Q&A with the entrepreneurs and our team will follow the presentations.

We hope to attract those in the immigrant and minority communities who are interested in starting a business, those who already have a business and would like to grow, and those in small business and entrepreneurial support organizations to increase the cross-organization dialogue in this space.

The Inclusive Innovation Summit includes 3 days of programming focusing on our city's efforts for inclusion, welcoming, and access in all forms. It is developed by the City of Pittsburgh and is free and open to the public.
