Idea Foundry Receives Designation as Soft Landings Site from InBIA

This month, Idea Foundry was selected as a designated Soft Landings Site by the InBIA, a global nonprofit organization that has supported entrepreneurial organizations for more than 30 years.

August 19, 2019

InBIA’s Soft Landing designation recognizes entrepreneurial support centers, both in the U.S. and around the globe, which provide programming and resources to work with foreign companies interested in international expansion. We consider it a great accomplishment to receive this designation by a globally recognized organization such as InBIA. It is also a validation of our desire to support foreign companies exploring the U.S. market and bringing new economic opportunities to Southwestern Pennsylvania.

This designation comes with the ability to participate in InBIA programming for Soft Landings sites, in which we are already beginning to participate. Our membership in the InBIA and as part of this distinguished group of globally-minded entrepreneurial support organizations will allow us to connect with entrepreneurs and other organizations like us throughout the globe.

To kick off our experience as a Soft Landings Designee, we will be hosting a cohort of entrepreneurs from Central America through InBIA’s La Idea Incubator program in October. The group will be working with us in Pittsburgh for a one-week bootcamp to understand the U.S. ecosystem and business practices in the U.S. We will be posting more about this program in upcoming weeks, so stay tuned!
